Vikings Fire on All Cylinders to Roll Over Missouri Valley

MARSHALL, MO - A hot start in the first quarter by Grand View would be halted by a weather delay, but the No. 2 Vikings would show no signs of being thrown off their business trip - and would handle the Missouri Valley Vikings, 70-7 to move to 4-0.

Jackson Waring went a perfect 12-12 on the afternoon, finishing with 251 passing yards and 3 TD passes to three different Vikings, one of those passes being a long of 85 yards for Jordan Kumm's first touchdown in red and black. Sophomore Beau Flander would be the Vikings leading rusher with 11 carries for 74 total yards. Waring did his damage in all of two quarters, after guiding the Vikings to a 49 to nothing lead.

Defensively the Vikings were locked in, Tristin Waugh had another big day for his team including 5 total tackles and 3 sacks for a loss of 20 yards. Nate Ewell would record his first pick-six of the season, as he returned one before halftime for 35 yards. Jaylen Perkins and John Argo would both record their first interception for the Vikings.
