Olathe, KS - Vikings Opened up postseason action with a matchup against the Pioneers of MidAmerica Nazarene. After a tightly contested matchup the Vikings eventually fell to the Pioneers in a 2-0 game. 

How It Happened: 
The Vikings had an early chance to score as they had a corner kick in the 4th minute of play. Maddie Morales placed the ball into the box but the Vikings would come up empty on the play. The Vikings defense would stand tall as the pioneers had several opportunities throughout the first half before they eventually broke through in the 28th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Vikings offense would find a grove in the second half as they would be able to place three shots on goal with the first coming from Gracie Bernard in the 56th minute. The Pioneers would be the next ones to strike through as they found the back of the net again in the 65th minute to take a 2-0 lead. Ana Frank and Vanessa Perez-Sandoval would have shots on goal late in the match, 83rd and 86th minutes, to try and cut into the lead but they were unable to sneak them past the goalie. At the end of 90 minutes the Vikings were not able to overcome to 2 goal defect and end their conference tournament run in the first round.
