Kandace Cook enters her second season at the helm of Grand View University's Women's Volleyball program. Taking over the Vikings in the spring of 2025, Cook guided the team to a 28-5 overall record and a dominant 17-1 mark in conference play, punctuating her first season with a berth in the NAIA National Tournament.
Cook arrives at Grand View with a proven track record of building winning programs. Prior to taking over the Vikings, she spent two seasons as Head Women's Volleyball Coach at William Woods University, where she compiled a 49-21 record.
Before her head coaching tenure at William Woods, Cook spent three seasons as an assistant coach at Columbia College, helping lead the Cougars to a 75-27 overall record. Her contributions on the sideline earned her back-to-back American Midwest Conference (AMC) Assistant Coach of the Year honors in 2021 and 2022. In 2022, Cook helped guide Columbia College to a perfect 10-0 mark in conference play and a berth in the NAIA National Championship quarterfinals, where the Cougars fell to eventual national champion the University of Jamestown.
Cook's collegiate coaching career began at Stephens College, where she served as an assistant coach for two seasons in 2018 and 2019.
Beyond the college ranks, Cook has built an extensive footprint across the volleyball community. She currently serves as the Beach Volleyball Club Director, Coach for the Alpha Omega Beach Volleyball Academy in Columbia, and a Head Club Volleyball Coach for the 417 Columbia Juniors. Before taking over at Grand View she was also the Head Volleyball Coach at Calvary Lutheran High School in Jefferson City where she led the team to an appearance in the final 4 of state in 2019, and a district championship.
Cook began her playing career at the junior college level, spending two seasons at Lamar Community College before transferring to continue her volleyball career at the NAIA level. She went on to graduate from Stephens College, where she played two seasons for the Stars while earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology with an emphasis in Health Sciences.
