Somers returns to Grand View for his 1st season as the Wide Receivers Coach and 3rd season as a coach with the Vikings. Somers is a Grand View University graduate where he also played football for the Vikings during the 2021-22 seasons.
 
Somers previously served as a coach for the 2023-24 seasons helping guide Grand View to the 2024 NAIA Football National Championship while coaching running backs.
