Assistant Men's Basketball Coach

Jackson Golightly is entering his first season as an assistant coach with the Grand View
University men’s basketball program. A familiar face to Viking fans, Golightly returns to Grand
View after spending the 2021-22 season at GV as a graduate transfer from William Jewell
University. During Golightly’s lone campaign as a Viking, he averaged 11.4 points per game and
5.2 rebounds per game as well. Golightly was a key contributor to the team’s success in earning
a bid to the NAIA National Tournament.
Following his playing career, Golightly began his coaching journey at Western New Mexico
University, where he gained valuable experience working at the NCAA Division II level. His time
there helped him develop a deeper understanding of game preparation, recruiting, and player
development.
Golightly now returns to Grand View eager to contribute to the continued growth of the program
and to mentor student-athletes in the same environment where he made his mark as a player
