Grand View University

Coach Willer is in her 16th season with the Grand View softball program. Willer was an All-Conference and All-Region infielder for Grand View as well as an NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete.

Willer has been a part of all the National Tournament appearances the Viking softball program has attended, the first being as a player (’06) and the rest as a coach (’13,’15,’16, '17, ’18, ‘19, '21, '22, '24). Willer transferred to Grand View from Kirkwood Community College in 2005 where she was a National Junior College Athletic Association All-Region-First Team infielder. After graduating from Grand View, Willer was an assistant softball coach at the University of Northern Iowa (2007-08) and an assistant coach at Linn-Mar High School (2007-2009).

Willer earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Health in 2009 from the University of Northern Iowa and earned her Master’s Degree in Sports Management from Grand View University in 2016. Willer currently is a Physical Education/Health teacher at Johnston High School and was an Assistant Varsity Softball Coach from 2010-2023 where she was a part of two 5A state championships (’14, ’16) during her time with the program. Willer resides in Bondurant with her wife Whitney and their two children, Pacey and Amery.
