Grand View University

Coach Farrell is in her eighth season as the pitching coach for the Grand View softball program. Farrell is one of the most decorated pitchers in Grand View softball history, earning 4x NAIA All-American honors and 4x Heart of America Conference Pitcher of the Year recognition during her playing career with the Vikings from 2015-2018. She finished her collegiate career with over 100 wins and 1,000 strikeouts, establishing herself as one of the elite pitchers in NAIA softball. Farrell was a key contributor to multiple Grand View appearances at the NAIA opening-rounds during her playing days. Farrell earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Human Services from Grand View University in 2018.

Since joining the coaching staff immediately after her graduation in 2018, Farrell has been instrumental in developing Grand View's pitching staff and helping lead the Vikings to multiple NAIA National Tournament appearances, including the program's 7th place finish in 2022 and 5th place finish at the 2025 NAIA World Series in Columbus, Georgia.

A Des Moines native, Farrell starred at Dowling Catholic High School where she was the 5a pitcher of the year and earned 1st team all-state honors in both 2013 & 2014. She broke multiple records at the state tournament with single game strikeouts (14) and total tournament strikeouts (31). Additionally, Farrell was inducted into the hall-of-fame in 2019. 

In addition to her coaching responsibilities, Farrell currently gives private pitching lessons, specializing in pitching mechanics with an emphasis on velocity development and spin rate.
