Jake Munkwitz joined the Grand View University football staff in 2025 as the Special Teams Coordinator and Defensive Assistant Coach. A Wisconsin native, Munkwitz brings over eight years of college coaching experience, including eight seasons at the NCAA Division II level. Known for his leadership, player development, and strategic expertise, Munkwitz has a proven track record of success on the field.
During his time at Concordia, Munkwitz led the NSIC in numerous special teams categories, coached several All-NSIC linebackers, and mentored an NCAA Division II All-American kicker in 2018. His recruiting efforts also contributed to a significant roster size increase, growing from 95 student-athletes in 2016 to over 130 by 2023.
As a student-athlete, Munkwitz played 31 games at the NCAA Division II level, earning NSIC All-Academic and ADA Academic Achievement honors.
