Andy Woodley enters his fourth year as an assistant coach and will serve as wide receivers coach. Woodley comes to Grand View after coaching stops at many different levels in both basketball and football. His basketball stops included Sam Rayburn High School (Texas), Iowa City High School, Creighton University (Omaha, Nebraska), Grand View University, Waukee High School, and the Iowa Energy of the NBA Developmental League. Woodley was the assistant football coach under former Grand View head coach Mike Woodley at Sam Rayburn High School in Pasadena, Texas.

Woodley was an all-state performer in both football and basketball at West Des Moines Valley High School. Woodley signed with the University of Northern Iowa Football program out of high school before switching to playing basketball. A three-year starter in the University of Northern Iowa basketball program from 1998 to 2002, Woodley led the Missouri Valley Conference in steals and assists and ranked sixth nationally in steals per game as a junior. He graduated from UNI in 2002 with a bachelor’s degree in general studies/physical education.

Woodley comes from a family of coaches. His dad is the former head football coach at Grand View University and former assistant coach at Iowa State University. His brother Matt is an assistant basketball coach at Drake University. Brother Brian is the head football coach at Johnston High School and his youngest brother, Joe, is the head football coach for the Grand View University football team.

Andy and his wife, Casee, have four children, Drew, Alyx, Ryah and Jett.
