Andy Jepson

Andy Jepson has assisted with the Viking offense throughout all 17 years of the program. He has coached Quarterbacks, Running Backs, and Wide Receivers at various points and now focuses mainly on assisting with Quarterbacks and the passing game. Jepson has assisted in the development of five Viking QBs who received conference Offensive Player of Year recognition - Derek Fulton, Jordan Knock, Ben Ferkin, Johnny Sullivan, and Jackson Waring. Fulton, Sullivan, and Waring also earned NAIA All-American recognition, and Jackson Waring was named the 2024 NAIA National Player Of The Year! Jepson was named the Heart North Conference Assistant Coach of the Year following the 2022 season. 

Jepson was a two-year starting quarterback for Iowa Central Community College earning All-Region and Academic All-American recognition following the 1997 season. In 2014, Jepson was inducted into the Iowa Central Athletics Hall of Fame. He continued his playing career at Cal Poly where he was a two-year starter and team captain. Following college, Jepson played two seasons in the Arena Football League with the Sioux Falls Cobras and Iowa Barnstormers.

Jepson graduated from Cal Poly in 2001 with a Business Administration degree. He began his career with Wells Fargo in 2001 and continues to work there today. 

Andy and his wife Krista live in Urbandale. Son Jack attends Grand View and is a QB for the Vikings. Daughter Willow attends Dowling Catholic High School.Â
