Marchant enters his fourth season as an assistant coach at Grand View University, where he has served as the Vikings’ pitching coach. A former Viking himself, Marchant played at Grand View from 2014–2018 and enjoyed one of the most successful careers in program history.
During his standout junior season in 2017, Marchant earned First Team All-American honors while leading the nation in saves (14) and posting a perfect 0.00 ERA. He also broke three school records during his collegiate career, cementing his legacy as one of the top pitchers to wear a Viking uniform.
Following his time at Grand View, Marchant played professionally in the Frontier League with the Florence Freedom. After his professional career concluded, he spent six years with the Iowa Sticks organization, where he focused on pitcher development and led the program’s youth division.
In addition to his role at Grand View, Marchant serves as the Midwest Scouting Director for Prospect Select, further extending his impact on player development and talent evaluation.
Marchant resides in Indianola, Iowa, with his wife, Kaylee, and their son, Henry.
