Grand View went 1-1 in a doubleheader at Schaefer Center, opening with a sweep of St. Francis (IL) before falling to Indiana Tech, 25-14, 25-21, 25-13. Grand View moves to 5-3 on the season with the split.
GAME 1: Grand View def. St. Francis (IL), 25-11, 25-18, 26-24
Set 1
Grand View grabbed control immediately, jumping out to a 4-0 lead behind kills from Juliana Neves and Ana Julia Goncalves and a block from Ava Renner and Brooklyn Roder. St. Francis got on the board, but the Vikings answered with the set's decisive blow an 8-0 run featuring three straight kills from Luisa de Paula, two service aces from Lindsey Hrbek and a kill from Clarissa Hasty to surge ahead 17-7. St. Francis called timeout in the middle of the run, but Grand View kept rolling and closed out the set 25-11.
Set 2
The second set was tight early, tied at 2-2, before Grand View broke it open with a 4-0 run a pair of service aces from Cecilia Campos sandwiched around two St. Francis errors to lead 6-2. Grand View kept building from there, forcing a St. Francis timeout at 9-3. St. Francis's best push came late, pulling within three at 18-15, but the Vikings answered again, closing out the set 25-18 behind kills from Ava Renner and Ana Julia Goncalves.
Set 3
The third set was the tightest of the match, with the two teams trading points and small leads early (tied at 2, 3 and 4). Grand View eventually took control behind a string of service aces from Ava Renner, turning a 14-14 tie into a 19-14 lead and forcing a St. Francis timeout. St. Francis battled back all the way to tie it at 24-24, but Grand View closed out the match on a Brooklyn Roder kill and a St. Francis attack error to win the set 26-24 and complete the sweep.

Set 1
Indiana Tech scored the first two points before Ana Julia Goncalves and Maria Eduarda dos Passos each answered with kills to keep it close. Victoria Bencardino then took over at the service line, ripping off three straight aces to give Grand View its only lead of the match, 7-6. The teams traded from there until Indiana Tech broke it open with a 5-0 run forcing a Grand View timeout in the middle of it to go up 11-18. Grand View got a block from Ava Renner and Brooklyn Roder to stop the bleeding, but Indiana Tech closed out the set 25-14.
Set 2
Grand View's best set of the day. The Vikings traded points with Indiana Tech through a tie at 11-11, then scored three straight, a Brooklyn Roder kill and two Indiana Tech errors, to build a 15-12 lead, their biggest cushion of the match. Grand View was still in front, 19-17, before Indiana Tech ripped off six straight to go up 19-23, with Grand View calling timeout partway through the run. The Vikings answered with back-to-back points to trim it to 21-23, but Indiana Tech closed out the set 25-21.
Set 3
Grand View jumped out to a 2-0 lead, and the two teams traded the advantage through a 5-4 Vikings edge, but Indiana Tech took over from there, reeling off eight straight with a Grand View timeout in the middle of it to surge ahead 10-24. The Vikings answered with a 3-0 run of their own kills from Clarissa Hasty and Brooklyn Roder and a Juliana Neves service ace before Indiana Tech closed out the match, 25-13.
