In a commanding display of skill, teamwork, and resilience, GV Esports has claimed the NECC D1 National Championship in League of Legends, capping off a dominant weekend performance with a 6-1 match record. After Northwood clawed their way back into the Grand Finals for the rematch with GV Esports sealing their championship status with a decisive and hard-fought series win.

Leading the charge was Matthew "Castle" Castleberry, who earned MVP honors as the Player of the Match presented by Wenzel's Farm. Castle's jungle control and strong teamplay were instrumental in the team's success.

"This team has worked incredibly hard all season long and had to bounce back from some devastating losses in our other competitions," said Nathan Ragsdell, Director of Esports and interim coach. "To end it by lifting the national trophy against two programs that made top 8 in CLOL this year, makes this win all the more satisfying"
