As this season comes to a close, so does our time under the leadership of Coach David "Draher" Wilson as he resigns from the Head Coach position. He led our League of Legends team to the highest of heights the program has ever achieved.
Coach Wilson started his first season with Grand View touting a phenomenal debut year taking the team to Top 32 in College League of Legends Nationals with a 17th overall finish. Since his inaugural year, GV League of Legends finished 3rd place at HUEFest Invitational 2022 and 4th place at LA COMICON 2022. Coach Draher's dominance didn't stop there as the team continued to qualify for NECC playoffs with 1st and 2nd place finishes in Fall and Spring seasons, back to back invitational qualifiers for SIXTYSIXGAMES and HUEFest and now playing in the National Association for College Esports' version of an esports "Big Ten", the Super Conference.
David Wilson has been an instrumental leader for the League of Legends program and has made a tremendous impact on the players that have come through the doors of the GV Esports program. His ability to have players actualize their potential and grow to become national contenders is something that can not be understated as his players have all gone on to compete at some of the highest levels of competition.
From the bottom of our hearts here at Grand View Esports, thank you Coach Draher and good luck on your next journey!
