The Vikings pulled away in the fourth with a four-run rally. Holbert again sparked the offense with a single and a stolen base, followed by an RBI double from Taber. Merical added an RBI double of her own, and Chloe Kottlowski capped the inning with a two-run double to center field that extended the lead to 5-0.

Grand View tacked on two more in the fifth behind hits from Nevaeh Randall, Holbert, and Taber. Holbert's RBI double scored Nevaeh Randall, who reached on a single, and Taber followed with another single to plate Holbert, making it 7-0.
