Grand View Remain Undefeated at Home vs. The Pride, 28 Straight Wins

DES MOINES, IA- Grand View rides their winning streak to another pair of Heart Conference wins this afternoon with 3-1 wins over the Pride of Clarke. These wins help get the Vikings back on track in conference play as they have won 4 straight now.

GAME 1: The Vikings struggled early as the Pride were aggressive on the basepaths and picked up a run in the first inning off a double steal attempt. GV would bounce back with an RBI single from Rachel Anderson in the bottom half of the inning. Olivia Keyes would push across the go ahead run off a double before being brought home by a Jessica Walljasper single in the 2nd inning. The rest of the game would be a defensive showcase with Walljasper going the distance picking up 7 strikeouts on her way to win number 10 of the season.

GAME 2: Madi Huisman would take the mound also going the distance this afternoon for her 11th win of the season. She would not surrender a run until the 3rd inning but that was short lasted before the Vikings responded in the bottom of the 4th. Allyx Lee would connect on a ball brining in the tying run before the next batter Gracie Hagle smoked a ball into the outfield scoring 2 runs. Huisman would close the rest of the game out with help from Chloe Kottlowski who made a handful of impressive plays from the short stop possession throughout the afternoon.
