Box Score OLATHE, KS- The Vikings hit the road to take on MidAmerica Nazaren in a Heart Conference matchup. The Vikings offense struggled throughout the matchup to find a grove as they fell 103-59.
Cecil Lee III ended the game with a team high 12 points for the Vikings off of 4-9 shooting in 26 minutes.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED: MNU jumped out to a quick lead as they scored the first 5 points of the game before
Noah Hart connected on a jumped giving the Vikings their first points of the game. Outside of the first few minutes the Vikings would struggle to keep the offense flowing as they were only down 6 with 9 minutes left to play in the first half after a pair of Lee free throws. MNU would get hot in the second half of the first half though as they outscored the Vikings 27-5 in the final 9 minutes of play before halftime. The second half would open up with a quick spark from the Vikings as
Jacob Koontz scored a basket and Hart picked up a quick steal leading to a Jaxson young layup. The Vikings run would fizzle out shortly as the Pioneers got hot again and quickly extended their lead throughout the second half. At the end of 40 minutes the Pioneers defeated the Vikings 103-59.Â
