Grand View Football Posts Third Highest Daktronics Scholar-Athlete Total

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) released the 2023 Daktronics NAIA Football Scholar-Athletes on Friday. Saint Francis (Ind.) had the most recipients in the country with 36, followed by Carroll (Mont.) at 32 and Grand View (Iowa) with 30. The Vikings have posted a top finish for the last three years. 

The 2023 list features 1,206 student-athletes who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution. To be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.
