WICHITA, KANSAS - The first-ranked Viking kicked off their season at the Falcon Invite this past weekend, finding success at all levels. 

Grand View men's wrestling took to the mat this weekend for the Falcon Invitational. The Vikings competed in three ways: Elite, Elite Unattached, and the Amateur unattached division. The Vikings saw many wrestlers find success this weekend, including four first-placings, three runner-ups, and eight in third place. 

At 157 unattached, Cam Robinson defeated Conner Johnston of DII Central Missouri by a major decision, Alex Reynolds at 174 was crowned first by his decision win over Braden Anderson of Ottawa University, and at 285, Greg Hagan earned his first placing by pinning Gavin Howes of Avila University. On the amateur side, Ryan Lobato placed first for the Vikings at 133 while wrestling unattached. 

In the elite division, Daniel Leal grabbed a second-place finish wrestling unattached at 133, and on the amateur side, Logan Lopez would fall to 2nd after a truce against teammate Lobato at 133. Carter Smuck also finished in 2nd place unattached on the amateur side at 197.

On the elite side, five Vikings placed third, including Braden Graff (125 - Unattached), Dylan Whitt (157 - Unattached), Jovon Mitchell (165 - GV), Thomas Even (174 - GV), and Trayvonne Jackson (197 - Unattached). From the amateur side, placing third included Elijah Larsen (149 - Unattached), Dillon Fitzpatrick (174 - Unattached), and Lucas Hageman (184 - Unattached).
